UEA appoints new Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research & Innovation)
The University of East Anglia (UEA) has appointed Prof Fiona Lettice as Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research & Innovation), with effect from 3 April. She had previously held the role on an interim basis in addition to her position as Prof of Innovation Management at Norwich Business School.
“I’m very excited to take on my new role and help drive forward UEA’s research, enterprise and innovation portfolio,” said Fiona. “I’m looking forward to enhancing links with a range of external organisations to increase the social, economic and cultural impact of our research. In particular, we will build a stronger regional collaboration, as well as promoting our research excellence nationally and internationally.”
Fiona’s research spans all business sectors and is particularly focused on innovation management and new product and service development, especially those that disrupt an established market.
Prior to her academic career, Fiona worked in industry as a project manager for Centrica/British Gas and as a change consultant for BMW/Rover. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Fellow of the RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce.)
Fiona is also a non-executive director for Clever Together, a board member of TechEast and co-organiser for SyncNorwich.Tweet
