    Fairleigh Owen
    (Jane Hinton Dawe, 1825-1902).
Jane Hinton Dawe was the daughter of artist Phillip Dawe and neice of prominent artist George Dawe. She married William Henry Trotman, hairdresser and perfumier in 1853 at St.John's, Nottinghill. Jane eventually moved in with John Owen/Henry Phillips. By Christmas 1871 they had moved to Belgrave Cottage, Pond Street, Hampstead. Jane wrote instructional books and articles for children under the name of Fairliegh Owen. So far as we know, this couple did not have any children. They finally married at Islington register office in 1892. [This information comes from a RootsWeb posting by who is researching the life of Jane Dawe.]
